The other day I pulled the plotter (hp designjet 500) into my office and set it up with a roll of 24" photo paper. I hadn't ever really tried printing photos with it, but it does a damn fine job. A roll of glossy photo paper is $102, vs the $100 per print I was paying.


We have a Designjet 130 that prints up to 24 inches wide at work. And I have had lots of fun with it. It's a hell of a lot cheaper than getting things printed elsewhere. At my school we have a printer that goes up to 60". Except like an idiot, I have yet to use that one yet.
